    Crystal joined the team in August 2016. She graduated from The University of Akron in 2014 with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and a specialization in Listening and Spoken Language. Crystal received specialized instruction in Auditory-Verbal Therapy in Houston, TX, working with children with hearing loss, and their families. She has extensive experience working with children with auditory processing and social pragmatic needs as well as receptive/expressive language in a variety of settings. Crystal creates engaging, relatable, and impact-focused sessions where her clients feel heard and seen. She is family-focused and offers strategies and activities that build a strong foundation in the areas that are most useful in her client’s life. She currently offers virtual and in-person therapy.

    Janice B. Meiner, M.S., CCC-SLP is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist with over 20 years of experience treating individuals of all ages with a variety of communication disorders. She completed her B.S. in Communication Disorders from Eastern Kentucky University in 1998, and her M.S in Speech-Language Pathology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio in 2000. Janice joined Northrup & Associates in August, 2020 and currently provides private speech-language therapy services specializing in pediatric Speech & Language disorders and Social Language impairments. Prior to working at Northrup & Associates, Janice was employed at The Ohio State University Columbus, Ohio in 2018, where she was a Clinical Supervisor for graduate students at the Ohio State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. Prior to OSU, her employment included outpatient services at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, public schools, and inpatient rehabilitation facilities. Janice holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech and Hearing Professionals, and has a School Speech-Language Pathologist License from the Ohio Department of Education. Professional areas of interest include adolescent language comprehension, fluency and voice disorders, and professional supervision and development.

  • JENNIFER SWETNAM, M.A. CCC-SLP

    Jennifer Swetnam started working for Northrup and Associates in August 2018. Jennifer has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association. Prior to working at Northrup and Associates, Jennifer worked for 6 years at Bridgeway Academy with children and teenagers on the autism spectrum. At Bridgeway Academy, Jennifer worked with students who had a variety of communication disorders including non-verbal communicators, childhood apraxia of speech, and social language disorders. In order to better serve these students, Jennifer pursued training in LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning) and is a LAMP Certified Professional. She is also trained in the Social Thinking ™ framework by Michelle Garcia Winner and enjoys finding fun and creative ways to teach social skills to her students. Jennifer uses this knowledge to serve clients at Northrup and Associates and continue to grow in knowledge of best practice and therapeutic techniques. In her free time, Jennifer enjoys hiking and traveling with her husband and playing with her two sons.

    Macie Petrich graduated from Miami University in 2020 and has been working at Northrup & Associates since graduation. Through internships in graduate school, Macie gained experience working with early intervention, school-aged, and adolescent clients. Macie has a well rounded background in treating articulation, expressive language, receptive language, fluency, and pragmatics across the lifespan.

  • Maggie Schafer, M.A. CCC-SLP

    Maggie Schafer joined the team in August 2015. She graduated from Kent State University in 2010 with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA), is licensed by the Ohio Board of Speech and Hearing Professionals, and has a School Speech-Language Pathologist License from the Ohio Department of Education. Maggie currently specializes in providing speech and language therapy to school-aged children. Prior to working at Northrup and Associates, Maggie was employed in Hillsborough County City Schools in Tampa, Florida serving students in grades preschool through fifth grade for speech and language impairments. Maggie also has four years of experience providing tele-therapy services to students. Maggie is a mother to two boys and enjoys spending time at home with her family.

  • Suzanne Watkins-Martinez

    Suzie Watkins-Martinez has worked for Northrup and Associates since August 2021. Previously, she worked for 6 years in the Reynoldsburg City Schools with elementary, middle, and high school students diagnosed with communication disorders in the areas of articulation, receptive/expressive language, fluency, and social/pragmatics. Suzie has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), an Ohio Board of Speech & Hearing License and a School Speech-Language Pathologist License from the Ohio Department of Education. She graduated in 2015 from The Ohio State University with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. In her free time, Suzie enjoys gardening, cycling, and hanging out with her family.

  • Victoria Cook, M.A. CCC-SLP

    Victoria Cook has worked for Northrup since September 2022. She has also worked at Reynoldsburg City Schools for 12 years servicing students with communication disorders in Preschool through High School. She also previously worked at the Columbus Speech and Hearing Center for 6 years working with clients in the areas of articulation, language, social and pragmatic language, fluency, and AAC. Victoria has a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), an Ohio Board of Speech & Hearing License and a School Speech-Language Pathologist License from the Ohio Department of Education. She graduated in 2011 from Indiana University with a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology. In her free time, Victoria enjoys hiking, camping, yoga, and walking her dogs.
